Founded in 2018 by CEO Simon Øland near Lindø Shipyard in Munkebo, Denmark, 3WIS established itself as a specialist in welding repair and structural steel solutions for wind, energy and marine industries. 

Through the combination of engineering, inspection (including NDT) and welding, 3WIS delivers turnkey repair solutions to heavy steel structures, with a focus on extending asset life, reducing downtime and maintaining OEM-level standards. 

3WIS has scaled its offering internationally: establishing a UK office in Newcastle upon Tyne and entering advanced composite inspections such as turbine blades, supported by its global mindset and specialist teams. 

In summer 2023, 3WIS became a majority-stake entity of Muehlhan Wind Service, bringing its focused repair, welding and inspection capabilities into the global MWS service network. 

The 3WIS name continues through its expertise, teams, and service values, now strengthened by MWS’s global footprint, unified HSEQ standards, and expanded service offering.
